Yandex ended free email hosting for custom domains
For years, businesses ran email on their own domain through Yandex Mail (Yandex 360) at no cost. Yandex has ended that free plan for business use and moved existing users onto paid plans. Thousands of companies suddenly found themselves inside a subscription they never planned for.

Migration process
Moving from Yandex to ZunaSend takes four steps
Migration runs over IMAP: your old mailbox stays untouched while its full contents are copied to the new one. You keep receiving mail throughout — there is no downtime.

We set up your domain and mailboxes
We agree which addresses move. Your domain is added to ZunaSend and a new mailbox is created for each address. Nothing in DNS changes yet — your current system keeps running.

You create Yandex app passwords
Yandex blocks IMAP access with your normal account password for security reasons. You generate an app password for each mailbox from your Yandex ID account and share them with us. You can revoke them once the migration is done.

We copy your mail across, exactly as it is
Inbox, Sent, Drafts, Archive and every subfolder are copied over IMAP. Attachments, folder structure and read/unread state are preserved. If you prefer, we can move only mail after a given date.

We switch the MX record and verify
Once your archive is in place, we point your domain's MX record to ZunaSend. At the same time we configure SPF, DKIM and DMARC so your domain's sending reputation is set up properly. We keep checking the old mailbox briefly while DNS propagates.

What people ask about moving from Yandex
Has Yandex Mail really stopped being free?
Yes. Yandex ended the free plan for business email on your own domain (Yandex 360 / Yandex Mail for Domain) and moved users onto paid plans. Personal yandex.com addresses are a separate matter — what became paid are the business mailboxes on your own domain.
Will I lose my old Yandex emails during migration?
No. Migration works by copying over IMAP: your Yandex mailbox is left untouched and its contents are copied to your new mailbox. When it finishes you hold both copies, and you only close the old one once you have confirmed everything is there. Folder structure, attachments and read state are preserved.
Will I stop receiving email during the switch?
There is no downtime. Your old mailbox keeps working while the archive is copied to the new server. Only in the final step is the MX record changed. While DNS propagates we keep checking the old mailbox, so no email is lost.
How long does migration take?
Setup and mailbox creation takes about 15 minutes. Copying the archive depends on size: a mailbox with a few thousand messages usually takes 20–60 minutes, while mailboxes holding tens of thousands take a few hours. MX propagation takes 15 minutes to 2 hours. For most companies the whole process finishes within the same business day.
What do you need from me to migrate from Yandex?
For each mailbox we need the email address and a Yandex app password. This is required because Yandex blocks IMAP access with the normal account password for security. You create the app password yourself in your Yandex ID account and can revoke it after migration. We also need access to your domain's DNS panel.
Where will my email be stored?
All email is hosted on servers in Türkiye. Your data is not moved abroad. Connections are encrypted with SSL/TLS.
Will my mail land in spam?
During setup we configure SPF, DKIM and DMARC records for your domain, and our server has a valid PTR (reverse DNS) record. A properly configured domain maximises the chance your email reaches the recipient's inbox. We monitor sending reputation continuously.
Can you also migrate from Google Workspace or Microsoft 365?
Yes. Because migration runs over the IMAP standard, we can move mail from Google Workspace, Microsoft 365/Outlook, cPanel/Plesk hosting mail and any other provider that supports IMAP. Just tell us your current provider in the form.
How many mailboxes can I have, and what does it cost?
There is no upper limit on mailboxes; packages are built around your needs. Pricing is set in Turkish Lira based on mailbox count and storage. Fill in the form and we will send you a firm quote the same business day. The migration itself is free.
Does it work on my phone and in Outlook?
